There are several non-dessert recipes in the Recipes Database (link at the top of the page)
Just type the word pumpkin in the search box

I make pumpkin butter with pic spice 1 ounce of cream cheese and 1/4 cup of pumlin from a can warm it and mix it. Let the flavors blend a few hours in the frig and they you can use it as a veggie dip, spread on your flax chips if you do flax or on the flax pancakes ifyou are using flax for your fiber to precvent constipation pwe Dr Atkins in DANDR.

I also love fresh pumpkin baked as a veggie with garlic and onions that have been sauteed mixed in. the longer you allow this to age in the frige the stronger the garlic flavor gets so only use a little garlic if you are going to make leftovers.

Some folk make a cauliflower/pumpkin type mashed potato/sweetpotato type casserole too. turnips and pumpkins mashed are good too.
And of course roated or grilled fresh pumpkin wedges with a little butter or olive ool brushed on are great veggies to go with grilled meats.

Then there is pumpkin soup which is purreed cooked onion and pumpkin with chicken stock and depending on what herbs you like. you can make it richer with adding cream or sour cream.

Faux mashed sweet potatoes

Heat a can of pumpkin puree. Then add butter, cream, salt and pepper. Serve like you would mashed sweet potatoes.

If you can get a hold of a fresh pumpkin (difficult at this time of year), you can thinly slice it and fry it like potato chips---very yummy!
