Hi and Welcome! :wave

Hopefully the mods of this forum will move this post to 14Day Induction, so you can be with the rest of the new folks!

It's entirely possible that you will be able to lose a lot of weight between now and then! :yes

You've read Dr. Atkin's New Diet Revolution, version 2002 (DANDR for short) ? I hope you've got a good support system in your doctor, your parents and your friends, because that can make things a lot easier on you.

Along with DANDR, make sure you read the 'stickys' in each forum you go to...lots of good knowledge in there that you'll find very useful.

All the best to you and see you in 14 Day Induction!

Here are my best tips:

1. Read DANDR cover to cover (Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 version)
2. Repeat step 1
3. Drink lots of water and only water
4. Get regular, if not daily exercise
5. Don't cheat. Ever. Cheating is the Kiss of Death on this diet.

If you can do all those things then there's no reason you can't succeed. :nod

6. Become a regular on these boards...there is no issue or difficulty that you may have that we can't help solve or support. ensive

Boy, I second Iaps info about the exercise. Also include weight training as it will help you tone those muscles while your losing weight. Might as well be sleak and trim while your thin and slim.
Check out the teen forum down below also. Lots of help there.

Default Possible

I believe it is possible if you follow the suggestions already given. I also encourage you to not concentrate on your time you have to loose the weight, but more on a day-by-day basis. If you are able to follow this WOL (way of life) daily it is very possible to loose the 100 pounds. Best of luck. I'm sure you will be beautiful in the Pageant next September.

You can do it, Miss C! I do believe exercise for you is critical, especially if you are going to compete. You want your body in top shape for that, just start off easy and never forget that weight training is sooooo important for fat loss!!

I agree with what everyone else has said, you have enough time to lose this weight. Everytime you are tempted to eat something you aren't suppose to have or not exercise, just think of your goals and you should be fine Since you are so young, make sure that you are taking the appropriate vitamins, you can talk to your doctor about that or read that section of the DANDR. I know I sound like a broken record here, but WATER is soooo important, drink at least a gallon a day!
