Default Stuck - Please help!

Help! I'm stuck! I'm three and a half weeks induction. Week one, I lost 6lbs with barely any cravings! Week 2 was 3lbs. Week 3 nothing! I eat only about 10 to 15 carbs per day but I eat alot. Could that be the problem? Example, yesterday I ate 1 Advantage bar (3g), 4 hard-boiled eggs (2.8 grams), 2 cups Romaine lettuce w/Ceasar dressing (2.5g) and a huge (I mean really huge) steak (0g). That's less than 10g right? I drink my water and I treadmill 30 to 45 minutes per day. What's wrong???? Could it be those darn Advantage bars? They say "Good for all stages", but is that wrong? Please help me. I have read the book cover to cover and really do believe it can work. I'm obviously doing something wrong. :help

Hi,

A lot of people on this site stall out in week three of induction. Just hold on, and you will see weight loss again. I personally can't eat the Atkins Advantage Bars, they stall me. Are you drinking lots and lots of water? Most of us drink at least a gallon a day Wasn't that huge steak yummy? Can you belive you are on a diet and get to eat a huge steak???? Post next week and let us know how you are doing...oh, and since you are new to Atkins, take your measurments! You will discover that even in weeks when you don't show any weight loss on the scale, you are still losing inches!

I would definitely cut out the bars, but this is likely a case of your body reevaluating the situation and in a week or two you will see losses again. Best thing for you to do right now is put away the scale and pull out the measuring tape. Oh and post your stats in your siggy so people can give advise based upon your current weight and goals as well.

Bars are a no no on induction. Try to cut them out and see if it helps

I agree, try cutting out the bars. They're known to hinder weight loss in many people.

Watch your caffeine, cheese, water, and remember it takes time for your body to adjust and change. Keep going! I know I am in my 3rd week of clean induction and stalling too.

If you keep going, so will I! :joy

I wouldn't start worrying about anything at this point. Your eating looks good except for the bars. Cut out the bars and see if that helps.

For what it's worth:

I only lost 4.5 pounds in my first 2 weeks of induction, then lost nothing in the 3rd week. I have over 50 pounds to lose, so I'm not close to goal. Once I moved to OWL and started adding veggies, the weight & inches are coming off.

Why are you only eating 2 cups of romaine? Where is your other cup of veggies?

I know everyone has already said this, but the special "low carb" candies are really bad. Even when not on Induction, they stalled me horribly... and brought back those horrible cravings. Once I just had one candy, or one bar... I'd want more.. and more.. every DAY... BAD.

What my advice is, from now on... and in the future... DON'T EAT ANYTHING WITH SUGAR ALCOHOLS! Well, that's just MY advice

Instead, stick to legal treats, like berries and cream... when you're not on Induction anymore of course
