Default Atkins website

Hello,

I am going to the grocery store tonight and wanted to get some recipes for different meals. On the atkins website when I browse by phase (induction) it shows all kinds of shakes and atkins white bread??? I am confused? Should I try them or not? It says right there on the website that it is okay for all 4 phases. Thank you ensive

We give advice based on the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution. This was the last book the Dr. wrote. Atkins Nutritionals was sold after his death and they have changed the Dr's work, in my opinion. They are about marketing and selling products. If you want to be the most successful, stick to the rules of induction and eat only off the acceptable food list. Those bars and shakes are known to stall many people and some of those other products like the breads contain ingredients that are not on the acceptable food list. I encourage you to do a 'clean' induction at least for two weeks.

Sara - IGNORE the eating/menu plans on the Atkins Induction site - it's a whole sales gimmick for Atkins after the good doctor died.

Default Just a thought

If you stick to "real food" you will find you will progress better. I believe you can usually make your own shakes and bars that are better than those you can buy.

Karrie, can you give me some examples of foods to avoid (not real foods) and also my friend had a carb shake powder with 3 carbs and no sugar. I want one, do you think it is safe? Thank you

Sara
