Default Three Meals Vs. Six Small Meals

I have been told by a few people that I should start eating smaller meals throughout the day to help balance my matabolism. Has anyone experimented with the two differences of eating?

I never eat 6 meals, but I have tried eating 4 or 5 small meals a day. I don't know about affecting my weight loss, but it helped me when I was going through one of those phases where I just couldn't think of what I wanted for lunch, or just didn't feel like eating a meal. Sometimes, like when we went to the amusement park, I feel better just eating a snack every few hours with it being so hot..If I ate a meal, I feel sick.

It depends on the amount of exercise you do. If you are heavy workout person like me, then 4-5 meals are better, because it keeps me fueled all day long.

The biggest mistake people make is that its 4-5 small meals, not large meals.

I eat 3 meals a day...that's about all i can handle. Even then dinner is so hard for me. I find myself not even hungry then.

I can only seem to manage 3 meals a day! BY the time dinner is over, I have no desire to eat anymore. The idea of planning 4-6 mini meals, is too cumbersome, 3 is enough!!!

I tried dividing up my typical menu into six small meals. Same calories, same ingredients and same carbs. Instead of feeling satisfied all day I was in a constant state of hunger. So I went back to three meals. I just plain don't get hungry until the usual meal time if I have a full meal. If my meal is too small I will have to snack before the next one. I guess everyone is different.

I am never hungry enough to play around with the number of meals I eat. I stick with 3...that's enough for me.

I was on a low-fat diet, I lost 82 pounds for about 10 minutes, I ate 6 meals a day and was ALWAYS hungry!!! Now, I eat three meals a day and like some of the other's have said I have a hard time eating them because I'm usually not hungry. Sometimes I don't want to eat breakfast and sometimes I don't want to eat lunch.

I eat 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day, though I work from home so that may be why. If i were in an office this would probably not be as convenient. Even when i first started indcution i seemed to eat smaller more frequent meals.

I usually have 3 regular meals on the weekends as i'm not home much.

These meals are fairly small...so far today i've had a flax bun with natural p. butter and sugar free strawberry spread. and a bowl of 7 strawberries with whipped cream. i'll eat a light lunch and a snack in the afternoon as well as dinner.

This seems to work for me.

I think it all depends on the person, and it's all personal preference. just like many ppl are breakfast ppl (i am one) and many ppl have to force themselves to eat in the morning.
