Default My Friend Fiber

Well, I was on Rung 1 of OWL for a while, but I have stepped back down to Extended Induction, and have a few questions.

I was on strict induction for four weeks before going into OWL, and during that time I kept track of my daily intake on Fitday. It became a sort of weird mini obsession - I fiddled with that thing the way you'd tune an instrument. :sarcasm

Getting a lower amount of fiber didn't worry me then, because I knew induction was only for a short time. Still, even in OWL/Ex. Induction (on some days) I am beginning to be concerned about my fiber intake. I try to eat veggies that are high in fiber, even if it means I cut down carbs elsewhere, but I'm a bit stumped by my low numbers.

Do any of you have any suggestions on what I might LEGALLY eat to up my fiber intake? My weight loss has stalled a bit, and I don't want to go up the OWL rungs until I've had some time to get my body more accustomed to losing, but I don't want to be deficient either.

FWIW, I take Metamucil every day, but maybe there are veggies or other options I don't know about that are higher in fiber?

Flax is legal. I'm not a fan (but we do have some) so I take fiber pills. That seems to be enough for me, so I don't have any other ideas.

Well being a southern girl :wave and having just had this for supper, I would suggest mustard greens. Trust me when I tell ya that you will be "moved" when you eat them. :yikes LOL!

Why not move on to just the first rung of OWL and add several 'two weeks worths' of 5 net carbs of veggies?

Then stay on that rung as long as you want to - eating maybe 6 servings of veggies and up to 35 carbs?

There is no rule that you must work up the rungs quickly - only that once you have only 5-10 pounds left to go you should be in premaintenance.

The higher I go on OWL the more fiber I'm getting. I didn't mean to do it that way, but that's just how it worked out.

Brocollie and cauliflower are fiber rich. THoses are my favorites.
