I think the problem with cheese is that it is a dairy, and it contains lactose I believe? So it could be a sugar problem causing hte addiction of cheese?

Also be careful of the pre-shredded cheese in bags. They coat the shreds with cornstarch to prevent the shreds from sticking together. So you're much better off buying a brick of cheese and dividing it into cubes. Not only will you avoid the added cornstarch, you will also be able to monitor your portions.

Remember, when you choose to extend your Induction phase, you are still following the Induction rules and food list. So cheese is limited to 3-4 ounces daily.

I didn't know that either! Lucky for me I've never bought it - aren't these manufacturers sneaky swines?!

My last day at work is next Friday and then after that, I'm going to drastically up my exercise while at home with my daughter. I thought if I gave it until then, I could see if the stall is the cheese or if it's just that my exercising has dwindled. (Although I did get on the scale this morning and it said 175.5, but I didn't want to change my signature yet, just in case the scale is teasing me)

Okay, I just thought I'd give an update since I've withheld the cheese from my meals and snacks. Since I first posted that I was going to stay away from cheese a few days ago, I have broken through my stall and lost 5 pounds!!

Which I am absolutely thrilled about. I didn't think I would be able to reach my mini goal of 60 pounds by the end of July, and now it seems like it may happen. Only 2 more pounds until I've officially lost 60 pounds.

I thought I would also update. I cut out cheese 7 days ago and lost 6 pounds this week. I think I found my problem. I did still eat some Mozzarella because that is the one of the cheeses that Dr. A. suggested you can still eat if you have yeast symptoms. How are you doing with cutting back on the cheese?

I also am a cheese-aholic. I love it (well, i am from Wisconsin we put cheese on everything!) anyway what was my point! oh yea, I had to cut down on my cheese because I was eating WAY to much. I try to not go over 1oz a day. I just think about what i'm going to have for the day and decide what meals can go without cheese (I usually choose one meal a day to use my 1oz of cheese). I think cutting back has really helped with my weight loss. I was stalled for a while there!

snack ideas:
Cucumber slices
Celery sticks
Pepperoni Chips
Jicama sticks

those are all pretty easy just to pull out of the fridge........good luck!

Looks like I will have to also try amd limit my cheese - and see if that gives me a help in the losing of the pounds. My loss is typically pretty slow, but perhaps the cheese has something to do with it. So, this week I shall cut back drastically and see what happens!
