Default Soy Protein and Flaxseed

Hello,

Want to start making new recipes. Is it safe to eat these ingredients while in extended induction? I haven't up until now, so I wanted to ask before I started. Thanks!!!

Not soy protein, that's not until a certain level of OWL.

Flax can be used in small amounts. I take 3 tablespoons a day but there are those who will say stick to 1.

Default Re: Soy Protein and Flaxseed

if the soy is pure protein then it is okay. if it is not protein isolate then it has carbs and will be rung 6 legumes of OWL.

if you are using the flax for constipation reasons as a fiber then you can have it but if you didn't get that technically you should wait for rung 3 of OWL.

sounds like you might be ready to go to OWL and get some more food choices.

Happy low carbing.

I think that I might be ready for OWL, I am so nervous!!! Hear good and bad about it. I don't know that I trust myself with more options right now, I just got back from a 2 wk vacation in Hawaii and for 3 days I ate whatever so I think I may be safe to stay on induction for a little while longer- but give me advice if you have any please!!!!

The first rung of OWL is just to add 5 net carbs of the veggies you are already eating, so is not too big a step to take.
Why not move on to rung one and stay there for a while, adding a few rungs of 5 net carbs of them till you feel ready to move to dairy?
