Default Dulce?

Has anyone ever had dulce?

It's a type of dried seaweed that we eat here in Nova Scotia. I'm trying to find the carb count for it, but fitday only has a general dried seaweed and I think they are referring to the type you use in sushi. It is kind of crunchy, chewy, salty, and purple.

Thanks

not sure how much you eat but it has 44 grams of carbs in 100 gram serving, 264 cals, 21 grams of protein and 1.7 grams of fats. it is a vwery good source of potassium too.

Thanks everyone. I kept searching on google and fitday and it was giving me everywhere from 2.4g carb for 100g to 8g carb for 100g, although I could only find dried seaweed and not dulce. It's also a good source of iodine (according to my doc) which naturally boosts the thyroid.

Heidi - I love it too!

I like dulse too. Though I have to order via mail order, so I can't eat it too often.

when I get some dulce I love to crisp it up in the oven and then eat it like pop corn ...better than popcorn it tastes like the Atlantic ocean to me

since I live on the Pacific the flavor takes me home and makes me all nostalgic
