My weight was 239 when I started and is 228 now.also got the checkup and tests at the Doctors. he was thrilled that my sugar has gone down. I'm not finding the diet to hard but I do miss my potatoes and I haven't given up that one cup of coffe yet. I am also new to computer so if there is something I need to be doing I will need help. Thanks Kathi |

| I think I'm bigtime in the minority here in saying DANDR does not work for me. I lost 60 lbs on the original diet (then got lazy and gained 50 back!) and I'm going back on Induction on 8/25. My maintenance carbs are about 20-25 and I have discovered when trying to do DANDR that net carbs don't work for me - I HAVE to count them all. Is anyone else here in the same boat? Just curious.

| Morrigan, I feel like you do. I don't know what is right? I have made alot of positive changes but to weight loss is going extremely slow. Maybe I will be on inductions for ever. But I have to remember everyone is different. I want to achieve my goals. I like to hear other people's story. But if can never apply to me. My body's system is unique. What work for some other person, won't work for me. The thing that is the same is we all want to loose weight and feel better. I have used some protein bars with a "net carb" label and I am not sure if it works against me. I only use these when I crave "candy" otherwise I am consuming fresh meat and veggie greens. I am with you on not trusting the net carb thing. A carb, is a carb, is a carb. If we expect to do Atkins for Life then we must ultimately explore the net carb thing and overcome it. Vic |

| Hi, I started Atkins 3 weeks ago and am now in extended induction. I've noticed that I'm getting really cranky and irritable around 7:30 Pm in the evenings and feel tired and end up just going to bed because I can't stand myself like that. I did just start exercising. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks,
