| People have offered you great advice with regard to the foods and what to stay away from. They know of what they speak. The only advice I will give is to think about how strong you will feel if you have a craving and can tell yourself that you are better than a piece of carb laden food! We all experience cravings of some sort from time to time, but how you handle them will determine how well you achieve your goals with Atkins. Best wishes.

| Personally I think you need to have a think about what you're EATING 5 PIECES OF BACON FOR BREAKFAST!?!??!!!? Are you serious??? No one - and I dont care how hungry you are, what size you are, where you are - no one needs to eat FIVE pieces of bacon for breakfast! Thats WAY TOO MUCH. Its too much food ANYWAY plsu its BACON. We are meant to eat proteins. That DOES include bacon, but that doesnt make bacon GOOD for you!!!! Besides that, its likely to be cured in suagr, and it has way too much salt which will make you retain water! ALSO - if you're putting 5 sweet n lows in your coffee, you obviously dont LIKE the taste of coffee (without the fake sweet), and since the coffee is DECAF there is no point in drinking it. Find a splenda sweetend drink and have that ONCE instead - or have a herbal tea without sweetener if you cant hack just drinking water. Thats my opinion - not trying to get up you! Im proud of you for how well you've done.... but seriously cut down on the bacon.... you're theoretically eating 35 pieces of bacon a week. Eww.

at breakfast. I cook it really crisp and it doesn't seem like alot to eat with eggs. Call me crazy I just don't think thats alot of bacon. Now I agree if you eat it 7 days a week, maybe a little much...but a couple of times a week really shouldn't be an issue. Some mornings you could have a slice of ham with eggs, or some sausage pattys or no meat at all.Anyway, just wanted to share. |

| Although I only eat bacon once or twice a month, I don't think that is what your problem is. Atkins is not a high protein diet - it is a high fat diet with moderate protein. I know that the thought of going to only water is a huge bummer at first if you've never been a water drinker, but it really is the best way to go. Once you've done it a while, it is not so bad. I promise! It is something that I struggled with at first, too. OK - here is a fact that you probably don't want to hear, but it speaks volumes... Atkins is about changing your whole lifestyle... not trying to keep your old lifestyle and fitting in Atkins where you can. I know... it sucks at first. But when you finally stop fighting it and embrace it, the Atkins lifestyle is AWESOME and much easier than you think it is now. About being a scale person rather than an inches person... my advice is to change that, or you are going to drive yourself insane. The scale is NOT the best way to measure lost fat... if using a tape measure drives you nuts, then keep a pair of pants that are too tight and try them on often. The scale can be evil and play games with your head. Nobody knows what your number on the scale is unless you tell them... they do know whether you look better in clothes or not. Good luck!

| 5 pieces of bacon alot? lol my 37 pound 6 year old can eat 5 pieces of bacon. By the time you fry it up it shrinks to little bitty pieces. I agree with Mitzimarie its probally that you need to give up everything and start drinking just water and lots of it. Be proud of your progress and tweak your food a bit. Best of luck to you.

Lay off the sugar free everything for 2 weeks. Don't drink ANYTHING but water for 2 weeks, and skip the sugar free dessert. If you're already active that's great, and that may be why the scale isn't moving as much as you want it to, invest in measuring tape and measure your success that way not just by scale. Good luck and hang in there - you'll see this is this best way of eating to lose weight and maintain a healthy weight/lifestyle. |

| and I didn't even catch the sausage/bacon portions... watch out for nitrates in them!! And those both have relatively high carb content for meat... You probably don't realize how many carbs you're actually eating... Just be careful. |
