| Yes. Though exercise is considered mandatory, there are many (probably most, overall) people who do not exercise during the first few months of this woe. They still lose weight. I had surgery in my third week and I still lost, though I couldn't exercise for a week. Your sedentary period is longer, but no biggie. Just get back to a walking program or light weight lifting when you can. |

| Yes... better to stay on plan and do whatever exercise you can do, when you can do it (even if it's only twiddling your toes!!
