Unhappy Stalling with a gain!

So my loss has been gradually slowing down. Three weeks ago I lost 4 pounds, then the next week I lost 1.5 pounds, then this last week I lost 1 pound. However, it seems as though I have gained two pounds this week. Here's pretty much what my meals look like:

Breakfast: 5 to 10 pieces of bacon, sometimes with 1 fried egg with coffee

Snack: 2 string cheeses

Lunch: 2 cup salad with one sliced tomato with 2 carbs worth of italian dressing

Dinner: Beef or chicken with either 1 zucchini fried in butter or 12 spears of asparagus with 4 tbsp. mayonnaise.

At least 70 ounces of water a day.

I had a couple of nuts about 3 days ago. And I also tried some peanut butter that had no sugar in it, just peanuts and salt. I've been sticking with this regimen and have lost just fine with it, but now it seems like I am stuck.

I did one day of exercise this week, and have increased my water intake and decreased my sucralose soda intake as well. I don't understand whats going on. Anyone?!

Many people find that sticking to induciton too long seems to slow down then stop their weightloss!
Maybe it is time to start climbing the OWL ladder?

if you had nuts you are not on extended induction anymore, thats rung 3 of OWL.
if you feel you want to eat these kinds of food, move on to owl, many ppl who "stalled" say they started losing again on owl.

i have weird weeks where I gain all of a sudden without making changes to my diet, its annoying and often takes a week to get it off again but im used to this by now and know im a very slow loser.
or maybe TOM is coming? most people gain shortly before that, so there are a whole lot of explanations.

Is your bacon completely sugar free and nitrate free? Most of the regular bacon you buy at the store IS NOT free from these two ingredients. It has been MY personal experience that whenever I eat even ONE PIECE of regular bacon, I will have a pause in my weight loss because I retain fluid from eating these processed meats.

Now, I will tell you that for the majority of my weight loss phase, I did eat these types of foods and still lost weight. BUT, it is something to be aware of. Dr. Atkins tells us not to eat bacons with sugars and nitrates.

Ditto on what Sera and Validrouge said. Also, check the salt content of your Bacon it could be extremely high.

Hmmm.. I didnt think of all that with the bacon because i've been fine this whole time.

But if i start moving up the rungs of OWL, wont I be adding more carbs and therefore gain even more?

The trippy thing is even my ketostix are turning a nice shade of dark pink. And I'm not due for at least 2 more weeks. How long should I give this?

OWL is for finding out which foods cause problems (stalls or gains) for you and what your critical carb level is, e.g. at which point you stop losing.
you NEED to find that level, you cant live with induction foods forever.
Now you might have a very low carb tolerance and 20 net carbs might turn out to be the maximum you can have but you wont know until you try and you definitely need to add other foods.
If your carb tolerance is really that low replace some induction food with something new from the OWL rungs.
I mean you obviously are not satisfied with how you are eating now so you need more variety.

My carb tolerance is really low - 25-30 Even last time with a major workout program it was never over 45. But I admit - I was never hungry

I sometimes throw things into my diet like was said above - but most of my carbs come from salad and I still lose but not as fast as I did the first 2 week.

I suggest writing everything down. That's the process I am going through. See if anything is sneaking up on you (maybe even a hidden carb somewhere).

Make sure you are varying your meals also. When I was reading the book last night, I noticed that if you eat too MUCH protein, it can change into glucose causing a stall. So monitor that and add more veggies to make up your carbs.
