| In isolation I don't think it matters at all, it's personal choice - eat the one you like best. It's your overall intake that counts, not the ratios in any particular constituent of your diet.

| I'm with Kate. The fat percentage on Atkins doesn't matter as much as fat remains our primary fuel source. I personally think Ground Chuck is the best option for hamburgers, but if I am cooking it for say taco meat, I will choose the lower fat option as greasy taco salad is not a good thing. IMO, it's a matter of taste and use -- use the right meat for the job not because one is nutritionally better.

| As a quick note - you are paying for the extra fat with the higher %. So pay attention with prices! Fat weighs more too even in beef |

| I personally opt for lower fat meats when possible and also eat lots of fish and chicken. It is clearly a matter of preference as the other posters have said. Just don't shortchange your fat intake ... be sure you get it with other sources of food.
