| So sorry to hear you're feeling so sick and low. Have you tried soup? That's my comfort food when I'm feeling rough or even generally without appetite. Or lightly poached eggs with a little parmesan cheese and extra virgin olive oil. Don't worry about your diet getting messed up. Just do the best you can, push the fluids, and try to eat something small and light every six hours. You need to concentrate on getting better quick. I bet you'll have more appetite after you come off the antibiotics. They can be tough on the old tum. Get well soon.

| Do you mean home made soup? I have so not been following atkins since being sick, all I've been able to keep down is toast, gingerale and popsicles.

| Chicken soup is what I like best... I do home made, so I know what goes in it (or if you're feeling too rough to make it, maybe you have some kind soul who would oblige). Otherwise, store bought, as long as you check the ingredients for "nasties". Do hope you're feeling better today.

| I agree with Sally - soup would be a good way to get your fat/protein/carbs in! I often just use the food processor to puree a mixture of cooked meat and veggies then add cream and/or butter which makes a great tasting nutritious soup!

| That does sound delicious...well now I am feeling better and ready to get back on track, but Im scared of gaining weight now because I havent been able to eat much. Oh well if I do I guess it will fall right back off again. Thanks for the soup ideas. These sound like a nice change to what I was eating before. I'll give it a try.

| Whatever you do, make sure you get your fluids at a sufficient level! It will be good for your recovery to replenish the fluid you are losing through the tummy upset.
