Default How Does My Meal Plan Look?

Hi,

Here is my plan for today. I don't usually eat processed food but had a bit of a treat for an afternoon snack (fondue cheese and pork rinds - yummy). How does my day look for induction? Looking back at it, I see I went over my cream allowance (I used 1 tbsp with my eggs and 4 tbsp in my curried shrimp). I have to keep a closer eye on the cream - it adds up fast.

My macronutrient percentages are:
F - 75.88%
P - 20.85%
C - 3.27%

Your calories look good, and the choices are pretty good. I was too lazy to put it into fitday to see the percentages. You want 65/30/5. Try to get close to the full 20 grams of carbs with some more veggies if you can. I can't remember if feta is an induction cheese or not, may want to check on that.

Feta is not an induction item. Cheeses specifically listed for induction are...cheddar, cow, sheep, goat, cream cheese, gouda, mozzarella, roquefort, blue, and swiss.

Feta cheese is absolutely ok for induction. It has been discussed on this board before so you can do a search for it if you like. Feta Cheese is derived from "Goat,Sheep or Cow" milk. I eat it all the time and am on extended induction Its delish!

Good for you for getting so many different veggies in! If I were you I would try adding some of the "other" veggies also. Pumpkin is an awesome source of nutrition; fix the puree hot with butter or cold mixed with softened cream cheese and pumpkin pie spices. Broccoli and spinach are also good. In fact, all the dark colored vegetables pack a ton of nutritional punch. There are some awesome cauliflower recipes on this site to add some variety. You might want to experiment with tweaking your carb levels with additional veggies to see how that affects you.

How much whipping cream was that? That fundue thing very likely has some corn starch in it. But I thought that overall that looks like a very good plan. :0

Hi,

I thought that 93 g of protein was more than sufficient for me. Doesn't excess protein convert into glucose via gluconeogenesis?
