Congratulations on those 50+ pounds lost ![]() Many people on 'extended induction' whose losses have slowed have posted that by moving to OWL and starting to climb the rungs of the carbohydrate ladder they seem to kick-start their losing.

| Sara, Sara, Sara…….perspective is EVERYTHING! Lets look at your situation for a moment. In a little over six months, you have manage to lose over 50 lbs.!!! If you did not make the life changing decision to engage in this WOE, where would you be? Would you be discouraged? Would you have a feeling of hopelessness? Would you be wondering how to lower you blood sugar levels? Would you be making the decision – Injectable Metformin or oral? Come on! Find one of those pictures of yourself before you made the firm decision to begin Atkins. Look at yourself in the mirror right now. Do you see any difference? Better yet, ask someone else! Do you wear the same size clothes that you did 189 days ago? Were you as focused as you were 189 days ago? You know, I think you will come to realize that everyone has his or her own race to run. If you continue to compare yourself to others, you will get off track. You run your own race! This is about you vs. yourself. Can you overcome your flesh and bring it into subjection to you? I would say DEFINITELY because you have done it for 189 days. Way to go!! Enjoy your path and your journey! Keep up the awesome work that you have done so far and push it to the limit! | Hi All!! Thank you all so much for taking the time to respond to my post. I really appreciate all the comments and advice. And i think i am going to just stay strong and accept that even though i am not loosing as fast as others i am loosing I will consider moving along the rungs and see how it goes.. I am holiday now so i dont have my Dr.Atkins book could anyone help me out with what comes after the vegetable rung and so forth.. Thank you so so much to all of you SAra xxx |

| I have been on an off this diet, and I finally got it down path I think. I had to look at it just as a way of life, and there are times I lose a few pounds all at once and then there are stalls. I have been cheat free for over 30 days now and I lost (on a good day) 14pounds. There are days, least from my experience that you retain water- or T.O.M is around the corner. I also think some people just have more of a resistance. Its like your body gets comfortable where its at and fights to stay at that size. Definately congrats yourself with the achievement you have made. Whether it takes 6months or a 3 months, to get to which ever mini goal you set- Time is going to go by regardless. I would look at all the new found energy you have. Eventually you will reach the finish line. |

| That is great. You are 51 lbs lighter you must feel so much better. Keep it up you are doing amazing. |
