| It could be a Plateu.. It is where you try to hard to lose weight but your body is resisting... maybe you should move on to the OWL |

| You can not reasonably expect to lose at that rate consistently. It's just not going to happen. I'm amazed it's taken 9 weeks for you to see a slow-down at all. Most people get smacked with it between weeks 3-5. A healthy, reasonable expectation is .5-2lbs a week. That's not going to be consistent either, so brace yourself because you've been spoiled horribly rotten up until now! Now is when the real work begins. You're not stalled. You're not any where near stalled and shouldn't be thinking stalled thoughts. Weight loss is not a linear process. You're going to go up/down/down/up/plateau/down/up/etc etc....lather/rinse/repeat. It's the way it goes. ![]() You're doing an amazing job. Stick with it.

| well.. it sounds like a plateu as fefelia says. Remember, weight loss is not linear.. it might be due to some hormonal change..like when you are getting near of those days.. Are you sure you haven't got off track by mistake? In any ways, 4 days is not a stall..just keep in there and you will see.. |

| It is a long journey and we will see some pauses here and there. I certainly have. But also you have been doing the same thing a lot. So the body may have adjusted somehow. That is why many find that moving to OWL and adding extra veggie carbs actually gets them going again. That would be my advice - along with also shaking up your exercise if you have been doing the same thing all the time.

| Hi ![]() Welcome to ADBB ![]() How many more pounds are you hoping to lose, Motherof6? Unless you still need to lose a lot more than you have already done I would agree it is probably time to leave the 'kick-start' phase of Atkins and move to the 'ongoing weight loss' phase so you will have time to discover your CCLL as well as see if any foods upset your losing. Remember Dr Atkins expected us to have done OWL and be ready for the 3rd phase 'premaintenance' by the time we have only 5-10 pounds to go.

| Thanks everyone for your great comments. Thankfully on day 5, I started losing again. Actually a pound the last two days. I actually wore size 12 pants today and how great that felt. Tomorrow marks week 10 of induction with a total loss of 34.3 #. I hit the 160's too. (Just barely 169. |
