| WOW!! My hat is off to you! That's some fear! I personally couldn't make it 2 months. I'm too goal and results oriented to make it 2 months without weighing. I weigh a few times per week. Maybe it depends on how happy you are not to weigh. Can you tell you've lost weight? Are your clothes looser or have you dropped sizes? Do you ever use a tape measure? Maybe that should be your version of the scale. I think even in your case, with the fear of the scale, I'd weigh at least a couple times per month. Do you think you'd could do it every 2 weeks? If you're not losing and that's your goal (not just feeling better) then you need to know what your results are (pounds lost) every so often. |

| My goal is to lose weight. And feel better in the process. I am on my third week of extended induction and can't really tell. Other people notice the difference. My goal is to go into any store and be able to slide a 10/12 onto my body. So I am more interested in clothing size and body shape than weight. But I want to celebrate too! When the time comes! I know I am around 220 -230 or was three weeks ago. R/ |

| Another thing about waiting so long to weigh is that when you do finally decide to hop on the scale, if there is only a loss of less than 5 lbs, that might depress you too... Since you know that you are sensitive to what the scale says, I think just staying away from it and going by clothing size is a great idea... what size were you in the beginning? 3x? 2x? When you drop a size, that should be a great motivation... Supposedly every 10 lbs is a dress size... I've lost 10 lbs and went from 4x to 3x and I can't wait to get back into my wardrobe of 2x stuff that's all too tight right now... You are doing great... don't let the number scare you off, you have found a great way to stay on the diet. |

| also depending how tall you are you may go down sizes faster. I have a post over in the main forum discussing this. I'm 5'10 and about the same size pants you are, and it takes me around 20lbs to go down a size. And since I see myself every day in the mirror I really don't notice a whole lot of change even when I lose a lot of weight, so before/after pics might be more helpful to you if you dont want to look at the scale.

| have you thought about taking pictures every week or every other week? That way the visual is better then just the number on the scale. Since we all often have fat goggles on its hard to see the change in our bodies. Ive lost 30 pounds and dont see a change but in pictures i do!

| I don't do scales. I refuse to me a prisoner of a number. I weighed at the start, and I'll weigh in a few weeks or so. I'm doing this to feel better, weight loss is icing on the cake! |

| I hate weighing in but I can't seem to help it. My problem is that my weight can fluctuate a couple to three pounds every day or so. It is very depressing when you are on track and you weigh yourself then turn around and gain 2 pounds the next day! I never know which is really the "true" weigh in!! I guess you have to go with the lowest as you that cannot lie like water weight, etc. |
