First off, the answer to your question is yes. Too much protein will be converted to glucose. You do NOT want that. That's where
FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal comes into play. It will help you keep up with your percentages. On induction, you should aim for 65% fat, 30% protein and 5% carbs. Fitday makes it sooooo much easier to track! Utilize it if you aren't already.
The other thing you need to remind yourself of is, you have LOST a good portion of your goal. You've lost 16% of your goal and you're exercising so you have to give it time to catch up with all of the other things you're doing right. I understand the frustration. BELIEVE me, I do. My weight rarely comes off a pound here or there lately. It's more like...nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, sheesh!!! Still nothing and then boom, how did I lose 3 lbs??
Something else that comes to mind from my own experience is, it IS so important to track the foods you're eating (and carbs) vs. the amount of weight you're losing and the amount of exercise you're doing. There was a point where I hit this magic number where I'd drop weight every day. At that time, unfortunately, I wasn't keeping track very well! Now, I'm trying to learn that lesson again!! Wish I'd journaled better then. I think I was losing lots more weight at 30 grams of carbs per day than 20. The magic of that number varies by person and it's too bad we can't pick a number we like!!! It's called a journey and it is a journey. There are many lessons to learn about your eating habits and the way your body responds to your new way of life. Take notes! It'll make the final exam much easier!!
