| Peanuts are on the high carb side, but if you are going to have some, 1 TBS would be as much as I would suggest. The same ounce of nuts would apply after being processed. If buying PB, make sure you buy the stuff without partially hygrogenated oils (just peanuts and salts).

| Oh, please be careful with the peanut butter. This is what caused me to stop losing weight for 3 weeks and I had to cut it out. I was eating about 2 tbs of sugar free a day though. |

| But dont forget - peanuts are not nuts they are legumes and should be introduced in OWL - legume rung. You can make nut butters from 'proper' nuts the same way though.

| I have thought the same thing Elizellen. Even though they are technically legumes, Dr. A. always included them in the seeds and nuts group. Check out the Power of 5 and Power of 10 listings. I would much eat almonds either way though with their 2g of carbs.
