| Salam Sadia...I see your in bahrain im in saudi and im also a teacher. I was reading your question and yes it is normal for some to gain weight during their TOM with or without dieting. The thing is for me I found that I gained 1/2 kilo right before my TOM but it was all gone plus more after. I dont think you should worry to much if you stick to the diet you will lose weight either way.

| Dear Georgiana, Thank you for ur reply..i am glad to hear that one can lose weight during periods.the only thing that i am worried about now is what if i cant get periods for another month or two ( it has happened before).would this delay make the weight losing a bit slower than usual... i am going to get married in October ..u can imagine the pressure ...i love atkins but this TOM problem and the stall r creeping me out.i have a digital scale ( it shows body fat percentage,muscle mass,water percentage andbone density along with the weight)..today it shows the same weight but my body fat % has gone up 3 points (from 56.1 t0 56.4). i walk daily fro 5 kilometrs..besides that i use rowing machine,cycling and some light weight lifting for my upper body. going through the forums i have seen people have lost unbelieveable amounts of weight in just three months.it really depressed me ...i am not going to leave atkins and my efforts bt sometimes i do wish to lose that much.. |
