Default Feeling really tired

Hi all, I decided to post this in here as opposed to 14 day induction cause today is my 14th day and I thought it would be more applicable here.
Anyway for the last few days I have been exhausted, barely able to crawl out of bed in the morning. Also I have felt some stomach pain, dull crampy pain. I was totally loving this WOE because it gave me energy and got rid of my constant stomach pain. Now it's back along with 2 additional pounds. No change in eating only added exercise. Anyone have any ideas on why this might be happening now?

is it at all possible that your TOM is close?

Yes, TOM is here but the symptoms are very different than my typical TOM symptoms. That's why I was wondering. All I can say is I hope it goes away soon. I will let you know in a few days if I get to feeling better.

The weight gain is probably linked to TOM but the tiredness etc might be what is often referred to here as 'induction flu' - not everyone gets this at the start of induction and some get it a few weeks in.

Weightloss can alter how your TOM affects you too so you might get different effects now you are on Induction. there are many posts about this in the 'Womens' forum here you might find helpful.

Are you taking your vitamins etc?
Are you eating enough?
Not doing either of the above can make you feel tired too.

I'm just going to confirm what Elizellen said about how Atkins can alter your TOM, so it could be that.

If you are really concerned, please go talk to your doctor about it, especially if it lasts longer than what your TOM cramping would normally last.

TOM, lack of cals in your diet, electrolyte imblance do to all the water we drink and the diuretic effect of the plan and poor food choices on your part can all play a role in tiredness. Are you taking supplements you ned based on your food choices? that is the one feature i love about Fitday you can look in the reports section and see ifyou need any suplements other then what you are geeting in your Vits. i needed potassium for my induction and my doc confirmed that with a blood test.

If it is food and not TOM Dr Atkins said to eat more for anybody feeling tired and fatigued.

Happy low carbing.

Thanks for all the responses. Hopefully I will get to feeling better. I am trying to eat more. I take my vitamins everyday. maybe in a few days I will perk up. I am going to get in my walking today. I know exercise will help me at least feel better for a little while.

I have been feeling exhausted too!! I almost can't function. TOM is here, but I'm tired AND I'm gaining weight despite the same diet. Please let me know how you progress. I'm curious.
Thanks!

Well the weight came off plus some, so that's good but I am still tired. I took a nap when I got home yesterday and I overslept this morning. Also dizzy today, but that could be unrelated as I have migraine problems. Anyway I think the weight gain was TOM. The exhaustion may be due to stress and inability to budget some time for myself. I will let you guys know next week if I start feeling better because a major stressor in my life will be over Saturday.
