| There is rarely a real stall but there is often a hesitation period after induction when your body just seems to want to think about it for a couple of days/a week or so.

| Just adding to what Desert wrote... Can you stall during an extended Induction? Yes you can. I've been around here long enough to see folks who stay on Induction for months who hit legitimate weight loss plateaus (4 consecutive weeks without loss of pounds or inches). In some cases these plateaus are "broken" when the person has moved onto a real OWL. My advice for anyone doing the extended Induction is to answer the Four Questions in Chapter 13 weekly. Your priorities on Day 15 might be very different on week 21.

| Sure you can have great results if you stick it out Extended Induction, but you can see similar results on OWL. From someone who has spent the last almost 12 months on Extended Induction, yes you can stall on it the same as OWL. The benefit of Extended Induction to me is not rapidity of weight loss, but the ease or simplicity of weight loss. I don't plan on adding a number of the rungs back into my diet, so Induction was simple and met my nutritional tastes. As for how to get out of a stall, I typically recommend look at what you are currently doing. Is there anything out of whack (not enough water, too many sweeteners, lax on exercise, etc.) with the plan? If everything seems right, then perserverence is required through the slow times.
