| You can continue induction if you want. Nothing wrong with that. But induction does not necessarily give you the result you want. Sometimes adding carbs from the lower rungs especially are helpful in keeping losing. I would not wait till you have only 10 lbs to lose. Atkins suggest that you should be in pre-maintenace at that point. So at some point before there start looking at including more and different carbs. I really believe that everybody should do OWL and that they should do it slow. Congrats with losses. Wonderful to see such progress.

| Congratulations on your loss so far ![]() I agree with Liv - make your move to OWL when you still have a largeish number of pounds to lose rather than when you are nearly at your goal weight. Waiting till you have only a few pounds to lose means your losses will normally be slow - maybe less than a pound a week - and that will make it hard to tell if adding more carbs or a new food is slowing your losses. Much easier to do the 'experiment' when you are still losing several pounds a week

![]() Like you, I'm not bored with the Induction foods but wanted a little yogurt, some nuts or seeds and berries once in a while. So I moved into OWL and started up the rungs. I mostly eat Induction stuff but get to have those other things now when I want them. This was a good thing to do also so I could see if I still lost weight with them or not. It was a good thing to find out. Wishing you continued success with whatever you choose.

| I really don't think that is a good way of doing things. It is not following the rungs in a systematic fashion nor is it adding carbs and getting a sense of how you do with them. I call what you describe above "extended induction with cheats" I am not sure that you really learn how food impact your weightloss that way.

Come to think of it, I don't think there is a single food item that I have every day.

| Oh no that is not what I meant. Maybe I misunderstood what Mbud meant. I read it to mean that she would just random start to eat some items from the lower rungs willy nilly. If you first try them out in order and increase you carbs then you are certainly free to eat them however you like as you know how you react to them. I have a low CCLL and I certainly cannot eat all higher carb food every day. I may have one from the upper rung and a couple from the the lower.

| Im saying.. I would go to OWL..but still for the most part eat induction foods....I;ll be honest never liked most foods that are in the upper rungs...except the fruits, some veggies , and whole grains. |

| In the past that was pretty much my approach. I added a new food from each rung occasionally until I knew how it affected me, then I would add something from the next...and so on. But mostly I stuck with my protein and vegies because I have a low CCLL as well. Good luck (and you will learn what works for you may not be what works for everyone else).
