By setting multiple mini-goals along the way, that way it develops into a string of successes. Whether it be two weeks cheat free, making a 5,10,15,25, pounds down goal, or an exercise goal, they all help lift the spirits and convince you that it (your thin self) is only a matter of time. Another thing is to not deprive yourself from acceptable foods during the Induction period. Get yourself living the lifestyle and developing new habits before you tackle things like going to bed hungry because you want the pounds gone on the scale. One it shouldn't be necessary to be hungry and second, you have enough to worry about at first that adding hunger to it only reduces the chances for success.

Limit yourself to only what is on the list of acceptable foods and you can't go wrong!
Check labels and if the ingredients are not on the list dont buy/eat it!!

Sounds harsh but, don't cheat no frankenfoods and Exercise, Exercise, Exercise, that's all I have to say.

Get the book (Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, version 2002) and read read read!

It'll explain the 'why' behind this way of eating, and it's important to know that.

In the meantime, read through these:

but still get the book and read it! :yes

nowhere in the book does it state that you can only have a certain amount of cheese and cream and sweetners and other foods- last time i was here, you guys gave me the advice i believe it was 4 oz cheese, 3 oz cream, 3 sweetners, no caffeine - all in a day.

Some of that covered in the induction section...it also says to count those sweeteners as one carb per packet!

If you eat more of the suggest ammounts it can cause unstable glucose levels, for the rest of the reasons check with the book!

Default Drink your water!

My best advise is to drink your water! It helps to fill you up and it flushes toxins from your body.
