| sounds like a good plan. i'm in week 4 of induction!! I have only lost about 4lbs, and want to lose 25-30lbs. I was hoping to move into OWL once I had lost 10-15. Can't wait to get there! Good luck to you! |

| Because you don't have much to loose you should move on to OWL soon -- you need time to add foods back slowly so you'll know which ones bother and which ones you can eat without any trouble. Many people make the mistake of staying on induction too long then when it comes to add food back they have problems. Good luck

| I moved to OWL in week four - I have done OWL very carefully and slow. It has worked for me. For me the concern has been that I want to keep my weight off in the long run. So I worry about maintenance. I would suggest you move up too as you do not have much to lose and OWL is a little bit easier when you are still losing some.

| The first time around, and this time around, I only did Induction for the 2 weeks I was supposed to. I dislike Induction, and didn't want to spend any more time in it than I had to. :P

| >>I am 2 weeks 4 days into extended induction and am going to continue until I have lost 12 lbs out of the 27 I have to lose (Its my first goal).>> My opinion is that that's a bad plan. You should be on pre-maintenance with 5-10 pounds to goal, so that won't leave you very much time on OWL ... and MOST of your time before maintenance is OWL. Losing weight isn't really the goal of Induction ... spending more time on it with only 27 pounds to lose could turn out to be counter-productive.

| If I lost a lb or so a week during OWL (which I'm thinking I will considering I'm only losing a couple lbs a week now) I don't see how thats not enough time for my body to get accustomed to the carb additions. I'm pretty satisfied with my plan which is all that really matters to me. |

| I'm not totally sure how to find that out. I know that generally I have been losing between 2-3 lbs for the last few weeks. I'm assuming if I add more foods to my diet (and more carbs) it is going to slow down some which is ok but I'm not sure I'm quite ready for that, but I'm pretty close! I might finish out this week and start OWL after that, I've lost 8 lbs so far. |

| >>If I lost a lb or so a week during OWL (which I'm thinking I will considering I'm only losing a couple lbs a week now)>> Maybe that will happen. The less you have to lose the longer it generally takes. When I was getting close to premaintenance ... I ran in to a period of time where I lost 0.2 pounds per month. Counting on something to happen is likely going to disappoint.
