Default are there carbs in vitamins

so 2 weeks ago i started taking zinc, b12 and acidolphilus. i got on the scale today and i gained 2 lbs. i havent had a single complex carbohyrate passed my lips. i have drooled over people eating donuts and french fries and pizza and potatoes and the list goes on....but i didnt have any of them. the only possible thing i can think of is the vitamins. i dont weigh myself weekly becuase i like to see a big loss and well this morning was a big loss of hope!

Well vitamins may have sugars or starches in them. It will say on the label.

Not sure if that would be your issue. What are you eating typically?

>>i dont weigh myself weekly becuase i like to see a big loss and well this morning was a big loss of hope!>>

Not really.

Here's what I found about my losing ... my "official" day was Monday. So ... I would weigh myself on Monday ... I would stay the same, or even have a bump up. Then I would have a drop on Tuesday or Wednesday ... and a little more during the rest of the week. And then come Monday ... I would have another bump "up". Now, since I was also charting this, I knew that my weight loss TREND was downward ... and that's all that matters.

I know that some people become a slave to the scale, and define their success by what the scale says ... but I just liked to collect the data.

On any given day there can be a variable ... or even on any given week.

It's certainly true that vitamins may have sugars and/or starches ... I'm just wondering how much would actually be in those little pills?

Seeing a few days typical eating and fluids would more likely tell the tale.

Does cellulose = starch?

I changed to new vitamins 2 weeks ago. Haven’t gained weight but haven’t lost either. I’m also on some meds for intestinal problems which are making me retain water. I’m losing inches though. I’m getting in clothes I hadn’t worn in years.

Nope. Cellulose is fiber.
