    Default Induction friendly Chuck Roast recipe?

    I was wondering if anybody knows of an induction friendly recipe for a chuck roast? I'm not really in the mood for just sticking it in a pot, but the only recipes I can find has all sorts of soups or beer or wine etc added. It sounds good, but I'm not willing to cheat. Then I'd rather just eat a piece of dry meat.

    BTW, I took my kids to a festival type thing we had here in town to light the Christmas tree, and to see Santa and so forth. They always sell mini doughnuts at these events (and the hot chocolate is always free), so I got some doughnuts for my son. My mouth was watering! Anyway, we got home and I couldn't resist anymore, so I popped one in my mouth. WHile I was chewing I thought, what the heck am I doing??? I ran to the nearest trash can an spat it out! Phew! The little bit I tasted wasn't nearly as good as I remembered anyway. I stayed away from the hot chocolate as well. Whoo Hoo!

    I'm not sure this is what you are looking for...but we tried this recently & really liked it:

    From Linda's site:
    Dottie's Carne Guisada
    2 pound chuck roast, trimmed and cubed
    2 tablespoons oil
    1 small onion, diced, 2 1/2 ounces
    4 ounces canned chopped green chiles
    14 ounces beef broth
    14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes, undrained
    [FONT=Arial]2 jalape

    Oh wow that sounds delicioius, Julie! I'm definitely going to make it...

    Last time I made roast I used my crock pot. Peeled a few turnips, cleaned up some green pepper, celery, coarsely chopped some onion, mashed some garlic... threw the veggies in then the roast on top along with a can or two of green chiles and mushrooms. I spiced up the roast with herbes de provence and olive oil as a rub. Pretty simple.

    I like yours better.

    You can roast a chuck roast like you roast a standing rib roast: rub it with salt, pepper, herbs/spices of your choice. Put it in a roasting pan and throw it in the oven.
