Default Olive Garden stuffed mushrooms are not ok!

I called Olive garden to check and see if the stuffed mushroom caps that they have are ok for the atkins and they are not. the main ingredient in the stuffing is bread crumbs and you can't order them any different than that because they make the stuffing each morning.

You'll find that pretty much anything 'stuffed' is off bounds - the stuffing almost invariably contains bread. There is a short article here about some things that you CAN eat at Olive Garden.

I've been told, but haven't had a chance to try it yet, that they will substitute broccoli or veggie mix for some of the pasta dishes. My friend asked her bro for me who is a server there and he said he knows that they will substitute broccoli for the noodles in the chicken alfredo because he has this crazy lady who comes in every Friday and asks for chicken alfredo, no pasta-substitute broccoli and he can bring her all the salad with no croutons he wants, but she will have to hurt him if he even thinks about bringing any breadsticks! He said they tease back and forth all the time, but she's a good tipper and requests his station if possible, so he doesn't mind but some of the other servers don't care for her.....LOL, guess they don't like to be accomodating! We're planning on going there for my birthday mid-February, so I will let you know then how it goes!

the alfredo sauce might have white flour in it!!

sometimes restaurants use flour in alfredo sauce to keep it stable.

I would check to be sure.
