Thumbs up 4 days in, 5 lbs lost *ADBB Newbie*

    Hi everyone!
This is my first post but since I have been reading these forums since I started my Atkins journey on January 30th 2012, I thought it was about time to contribute! so here are my current stats

    SW: 224.5
    CW: 218.9
    GW: 125.5

I am walking 5 miles a day with up to 10 push ups, 100 crunches, and weight training in my arms with a medicine ball.

I find it to be extremely important to stay hydrated since I am working out so much, and incorporating vegetables with lunch and dinner.

My induction problems: insomnia, sweating in sleep, headaches... I have read that these are all typical of sugar withdrawal so I am not worried, its just annoying! How can I have a healthy workout on 4 hours of sleep? I feel like I have the energy, but I am worried about pushing my body too far during induction.

Anyway, you all have been such an inspiration and reading your stories has kept me inspired and determined. I am tired of being unhealthy. And I am so over the way superficial people look at me. My downfall was emotional eating the last three years, but now, now I am in such a wonderful place.

Thank you all so much, more than you know.

    God bless you!!

    Alexis

Thanks MrsMac! Did you experience any of those induction symptoms? And congrats to you! You seem to be off to a wonderful start as well

Welcome! Congrats on your successes so far, what a great way to kick off your new life!
I too had issues with over heating in the beginning. My sleep patterns were a little wonky as well. Sounds like you are doing well regardless. Keep your water up up up! Make sure you are getting enough fat in your diet, that can help with the symptoms as well. I wouldn't worry too much about the workouts vs. the sleep. Even though it can be a struggle, my attitude has always been that as a rule, your body will only let you go so far. Eventually it will say night night! and you will sleep. One question - have you always worked out or is this new? Please make sure you are taking the appropriate rest days and such, if you push yourself too hard it will actually backfire on you.

    Congrats again - great job!
    10 pounds - that's all I want - 10 final pounds.

That is a great start! Thanks for sharing. When I did induction, my "flu" symptoms when away after just a couple of days. Insomnia is always my issue for me so I can't say that I noticed that during induction. At any rate, it didn't take long before I felt great overall. Hang in there. Just take care of yourself and as 2ndTime said...don't over do it. Good luck and keep us updated.
