I made goal - 13 months

Well, a little over 13 months after starting, I made goal.

Ok, just kidding. It's been more rewarding to me to help out the newbies and see them losing weight and being so excited than it has to finally reach goal.

Outwardly, nothing's changed in the last 5 pounds, but inside, I know I can set a goal and accomplish it. I now know I'm not a failure, but that traditional medical advice failed me. The confidence I've gotten just from that far outweighs (haha, I kill myself) the boost I get from all the compliments. But boy are those compliments sweet.

I'm not embarrassed to take pictures now. I don't worry about ruining someone's wedding pics by being the fat girl. I don't have to make sure I turn a certain way or hide behind someone else. No need to photoshop them after, either.

There are a lot of little things throughout the day that remind me how lucky I am to have found this way of eating, but most of all it's how healthy I feel.

Congrats!! You look *great*, it really is a huge difference. You look like a completely different person now I was browsing the Before/After pics forum for inspiration earlier and saw some more of your before pics. It's funny...I thought you were posting them for someone ELSE (like someone who didn't know how to do it) until I read the actual text.

I do plan on staying around. Just joking. I think I'm hilarious because the voices in my head tell me I am. lol

When y'all start to get discouraged and think you'll never make it, just remember it took me over a year to lose 50 lbs. If I'd given up after a month, I wouldn't be writing this now.

Well done, thats fantastic, you look great and are obviously feeling it too.

I think hanging around with us newbies will benefit us, and you. As maintenance is the thing that worries me most ! So will be learning as much then as I am now. :flowerki:

It's certainly kept me more honest than I'd be on my own! No way am I about to admit defeat after getting on everyone's cases for so long

In some ways, it's easier in the beginning because you're focused on your goal and seeing results immediately. But it's much more fun trying on clothes now
