Default One year 74 pounds gone, 25-30 to goooooo

i started this awesome journey july1, 2005 with just the hope of getting under 200 pounds, now i am soooo close to being under 150
what an accomplishment i have done for myself.... i have not been this small
since the 1980's

I can sqeeze into a size 10
12's fit fine..... i am going for a size 8

yes a size 28 to a size 8

i am soooo happy...... soooo excited, i got cloths TOO big.... lol, a 16 big???
i remember when a 14 or 16 was my dream and now i can squuze into a 10
happy anniversary to me

my goal is to have the next 25-30 pounds off by christmas 6 months away.
i am loosing about 3-4 pounds a month, last month i did not loose at all. it was fun loosing 14 pounds a month when i started out, but it is no big deal, i weigh once a month and take what the scale gives me, i always weigh in uniform and uniform shoes, so i know that weighs about 3 pounds or maybe more but i just go by the scales in the weight room here at work.

i am eating no carbs today, had a big 4th... of july... no big deal, i cheat all the time now but not sugar or bread, i had bbq beans and slaw, ribs and salad, the best bbq beans in the world considering i never liked them before, amazing how good frozen english peas taste... i could never taste before.... lol.... and had a few slices of home grown red tomatos and fried green tomatoes ( I fry evey thing breaded in parasian cheese, ) try it it is wonderful, i am eating fried catfish fried in it now, it is brown and crusty, awesome tasting too, add some salt and paparika ,

I loved reading that, thank you for posting all that. Your success makes me smile and you have accomplished so much. Its rough living with or even near an addict I know cuz I am one lol. Clean now but made everyone miserable. Well if you have any interest in God you could always try dating Christian guys, the good ones wont try too have sex. One last thing thank you for finding this web site

Congrats on focusing on YOU, and not everyone else around you making you crazy! I know how you feel. My son and I moved out of my mothers home this time last year, it has been wonderful. No anti depressants, no carbs, have lost 60 lbs... and I have fingernails from less stress, haha. Sometimes that's just what it takes. It seems selfish before you actually get into it, but the results are very worthwhile. Forget about your ex, once a junky, always a junky. Something in their brain is just different than the rest of us normal people. Focus on your grandbaby... and making yourself as happy as you can.

I married a Christian man the second time around and it is totally different. The first guy told me he became a Christian, but found out that it was only to date me (and we got married). It was awful. It only lasted a minute (a year, really).

The next guy I talked to and checked out for several months before I would date him and then we met and were married two months later. It is so wonderful compared to the first. We've been married FIVE years already and in September it will be six years!! Time has just flown by. One thing is that he actually cares about his actions and how they affect me and his testimony. It is so reassuring and calming to be with someone who is genuine.

Best wishes on your journey!!

Sorry, I was tired last night. I come from a small town where almost all of my old friends have been taken over by meth. It's sad, so it makes me sad. Those people will never be the same again.

Thanks for saying that I totally understand though, meth is ridiculous and completely wrecks lives. Its the worst for the victims and often times the addicts never know or care how bad they are really hurting others. Have to keep praying for them.

Hi, I Have A Question For Someone Out There.
I Have Been Heavy Now For About 10 Years. When I Lose All The Weight On Atkins, Will My Skin Shrink Down With The Fat? Or Will I Be Left With Lots Of Sagging Skin? Stupid Question???? Just Wondering.
