| Thanks Tracie! If I make it to Feburary, I'll sign up again with you! And the Abs challenge is not so bad, I only have 30 a day and BOY DO I NEED IT! It is by far my worst area and I can not wait to get rid of it! I missed those today too. I'll make up for it though. Tonite was date night with DH anyway. Goodnight! |

| The challenges are a great idea. I can only do one at a time though. I got overwhelmed with all the journaling in so many places LOL Soreness is good. It means you took your muscles to task and they now have to repair themselves. When the muscles repair themselves they build more mass and get larger. Because muscle is a metabollically active tissue, it burns calories even when resting. Fat, however, just sits there like a blob taking up LOTS of space and doing absolutely NOTHING for you.

| Tracie - Your comments really touched a nerve with me! I've been the one with the 'bad family genes', etc. my whole life. When I went home a few months ago and had lost 25 pounds, my family said, "I hope you aren't planning to lose much more - you just aren't built for being thin." What a bunch of crap! I can't wait to show them not only thin, but fit, healthy, and 20% body fat!!!!!!!!!!!! Goal setting, re-writing of goals, and challenges have kept me going and will keep me going from now on. I can't see any reason for me to stray from this Way of LIVING - ever! Thanks for a great post! P.S. I'm going back home at end of February and I'm striving for a total of 58 pounds gone by then! Let's see what they say then!

| My mom and dad were overweight when I was growing up. My mom had a gastric bypass surgery and my dad just started eating right and he likes to exercise. I didn't have the best examples of healthy eating and exercise growing up but they have showed me it's never too late. I don't want to be the fattest person in my family anymore. I'm too cute to be fat! LOL Thanks for the support on this board. Tracie is so on target. Way to go Girl!!

| What a fun, fabulous thread. You guys are all TOO CUTE -- I love your motivation and excitement and energy. As I've said, I wish I had caught the exercise bug right away. You'll be SO glad you did. You all are doing wonderfully! It's so motivating to see and feel your enthusiasm. Keep it up, ladies -- and keep posting. We love hearing about your progress! |
