| Hey, welcome on board! Cheating is eeeeviiiil!!! Now seriously, using food as a reward (for working hard, not cheating, etc.) is what brought most of us here in the first place. Damn it, I used to eat a 250 g bag of chips and 2 chocolates when I had to stay awake all night studying for my finals! I don't even want to count how many calories, carbs, fat, etc. were in my 'night menu'. It was my reward for working hard... Anyway, you've learned how cheating works on your own skin, so now you know you gotta stay on track. Good luck with that! Ask questions whenever you're unsure about something & join a few challenges (they are really cool... there's the water challenge right now; it's an easy one, but enforces good habits

I believe that the best way to overcome temptation is not with willpower, which is so often in short supply, but with our brain power, a potentially unlimited resource. Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | welcome.. i heard it said that its like having a food allergy, thats how i choose to see things.. i am alergic to sugar (sugar-sack was a nick name from my grandparents, however fitting it may be..hehe) you need to find your "thing" if its food allergy, if its just thinking that sugar is evil, sugar causes fat, sugar caused cavities, sugar causes mold .. however you want to see it mentally.. it helps.. also come here often, read everything, ask questions.. you will find amazing support and encouragement ! YOU CAN DO IT |

| Congratulations on starting over again. I too have started over just a couple of days ago. We all experience obstacles. Yesterday was my daughter's birthday, there was cake and ice cream. You have to say to yourself "I choose not to eat it" and take it one meal at a time. Make sure to frequent this site as it is very supportive and encouraging!! Take Care Ali

| Actually, it is not hard at all to be successful on Atkins. I've been faithful to the Atkins diet for almost 2 years and because of the weight that I've lost and the overall health benefits it's just become a way of life. I look at sugar and flour and high carb snacks as poison. There are so many awesome substitutes to a craving sweet tooth that it's easy to stay faithful. Sugar free ice cream, homemade chocholate and microwaved cheese crackers just to name a few. There are creative ways to be very satisfied on atkins. Look online for low carb snacks, there are a lot of them out there. The atkins pancakes are inexpensive and the sugar free syrup is just as good as the regular stuff. Good luck, I wish you success. | Well me I just started yesterday on my diet but my boss just gave us dark chocolate. Is there anyone here know if it's true that dark chocolate is healthy and won't make you fat? |

| It's the sugar in the chocolate that will make you fat. Sugar free chocolate is fine when you are finished with the induction period. Give those chocolate's away to someone who wants to be fat. |

| Just beware that the s/f chocolates have a very nasty intestinal effect for many people. Go slow with them. |
