| At first it was, "Yeah. I've heard you say that before. ." Then it was "Well, I can see a bit of a difference.", followed by a "We'll see how long this lasts! "Lots of times no one said anything at all and I'd get and .Soon it was, " Wow. You look great!" and "How are you doing it?" along with, "You can't eat like that forever. "Pretty soon some of the friends didn't or visit so much. and I was really hurt. And the hubby was always along the way. Not long after that it was, " Holy cow!! Where did the rest of you go?!" and "You HAVE to tell me your secret!". The snarky ones started with the, "You don't need to lose any more. You look like ****. ." ![]() Here I am, with 6 1/2 years of Atkins under my *much* smaller belt and they no longer say, "You can't eat like that forever." or "Wonder how long *that's* gonna last." The best part? I don't give a ![]() ![]() what any of them say. The ones that count love me no matter what size my is and respect the time, dedication and effort that went into getting healthier than *all* of them.

| Congrats, I think it is fantastic. and you are my inspiration. I pray I acan do as well. My hubby says I look good and friends have noticed the weight loss and have asked what I am doing. Some I tell I am doing Atkins others I tell I cut out bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, and high sugar foods. No matter wqhat I get positive comments at this stage and like you some say I don;t need to lose any more but I feel I need to try for an additional 21 lbs to be at goal. I know I should probably moce to OWL but as long as hubby is making a half hearted attempt to lose weight I will stay here for a while longer.

| Honestly? No one has said much of anything but that's okay. My MIL noticed my loss when I was down 10lbs but she's the only one. The last time I lost a significant amount of weight, I had lost 30lbs before anyone noticed. ![]() I keep waiting for my husband to say something, but so far, nada. I don't mind too much, though. This man of mine knew me when I was 120lbs and to this day, still tells me I am sexy as ****. |

| I LOVE this thread! No matter who says what... OR neglects to say whatever... WE are doing this for us. That what I have taken away from this thread. We are doing it for ourselves. As long as we keep that in mind, everything else is just secondary.

| I've lost 13 lbs and no one has said a word. Only my hubby but thats because I always tell him about my stalls and loses. His motivation keeps me going, that and the way my clothes tell me that I'm losing! |

| It took 20lbs before people noticed I lost weight. My husband can't really tell, but he knows I'm happy that I can fit into my clothes again. Some friends haven't said a word. One in particular hasn't seemed to notice because she gained with me, and hasn't lost anything, so she doesn't comment on my weight loss. People at work have been noticing. People have been asking me what have I been doing, and I have gotten a few compliments. No one else has really seen me yet so they don't know. |

| I wear scrubs to work, so nobody has really noticed yet. and my fiance says i look nice all the time, but hasnt really said anything spacifically about my size/weight ... Iv really only lost 10-15 lbs though.. so i probably need to wait a little longer for people to notice.. I am going to see some family this Halloween that i havent seen since july .. so we will see if anyone notices? |
