Almost ready for the wedding!

My fiance and I have been together for over 5 years. We're getting married next month. Slowly, over the last 3 years, we've both put on a lot of weight.

We tried so many fad things together (or I tried and occasionally he'd hop on board for a bit, then start B&M). We'd each lost about 8-10 pounds, but it'd be the most grueling, awful process.

We returned from a vacation together in Feb. and decided to give low carb a try. Our start date was Feb 2/27. I was about 172, he was about 192. As of today, I'm 153, he's 171! Lower than my weight when we started (annoying!).

I think I look pretty good at about 140-145. With five weeks until the wedding, I'm pretty sure I can get into this range. My fiance is now worried that my dress won't fit! (Good thing it's a lace-up back! What a problem to have).

Very exciting! I'm getting married to my high school sweetheart of almost 6 years on June 4th! Man, I have been on Atkins 3.5 weeks and had lost 8 pounds, but gained some back from eating nitrates! I hope to lose a bit more weight before the wedding. The fiancee is pretty skinny... Congrats to you! Have a lovely wedding! Keep that weight off, don't let it creep back!!!
