| Hi John, Thanks for sharing! I can identify with just about everything you listed there. The Atkins experience is a life changing experience. As you're losing weight you'll be able to check off that list of situations that will no longer be hindering you. I'm really excited for you because I know how excited I was when it became a reality that I was no longer mobidly obese. Thanks to Atkins! This is the only lifestyle that I have found that I could lose the weight and become so healthy. This will happen for you as well. The pounds are going to just melt away along with the emotional layers that go along with being obese. I'm really proud of you for taking control of your life. ![]() Again, thanks for sharing. Your list has reminded me of where I came from and where I don't want to go back to. Wishing you much success in your weightloss journey. Sincerely, Sherri

| John... I can relate to a lot of what you said and in fact I made a list very similiar to yours to read in moments of weakness that I printed and put on my fridge. Its the passion you put in writing that, that will get you to your goal. Im from NC as well and I know that our southern food makes it very easy to slip down a slippery slope. Print out that list you made and claim it by putting it where you have to look at; along with a picture of yourself. I wish you luck in reaching your goal and Im almost certain from reading the heart that went into writing this post you will! |

| Ya I know the feeling. I was 385, 2 months ago. Now 346. I did this a year ago, I was 345 and was down to 279. running 6 miles a day. I just stopped. That was not the best thing to do. I went up to a new high of 385. The thing that got me was it was very hard to wipe the back side. Sorry, it is the reason I got back up and started to work it off again. |

| John, you're a courageous man, and you obviously have what it takes to get your life on track and meet your goals. Atkins is the magic key! My husband has lost 100 pounds. He lost the first 75-80 several years ago and did a very good job of maintaining it. Recently, a few pounds crept up and he took charge of things and lost 40 more. Now he looks so awesome! He feels good. He loves the foods he eats. It's not a struggle at all. Conquering the sugar/starch demons IS possible and YOU can do it, too. Hang in there, buddy! |
