| I'd read the ingredients and take it from there, but others may give more intelligent responses.

| I think it depends on your CCML and how your body responds to whole grains and whatever else is in that cereal (which you learned when you went through OWL and Pre-Maintenance). If your CCML can handle those carbs and if your body can handle that kind of carb, then I don't see why you shouldn't be able to eat that during Maintenance...I mean, I'm on OWL and I eat oatmeal for breakfast every so often!

| the added honey as a sweetner so you will need to be careful till you see how you handle honey. try getting some bran cereal or some other low carb high fiber cereal to to cut the carbs and mixing it with your cereal for more fiber and less digestable carbs. 28 net carbs for 1/2 a cup is a big load. if you are under 100 net carbs for the day. have you seen the allbran or the Fiberone cereals? Kashi go lean cereal might be a better choice if you can handle the soy taste in it. you can get sugar free dried fruit to add too.I know I got cans of it from www.honeyvillegrain.com/products/lowcarb.html and if you type in ADBB in the checkout codes you get a discount

| I eat cereal on maintenance, but I limit it to one measured half cup, and I usually mix it with yogurt or something like that to make it go further. There are a bunch of really good cereals that have far fewer carbs than grape nuts, though. I also recall that they're higher on the glycemic index than a lot of other cereals, so you need to balance them out with a fat so you don't go into sugar shock.

| I have had Grapenuts on Greek style yogurt ...did fine it is like grinding grainly gravel in your mouth! I don't remember what the box said because as few as I ate the birds got the rest but I think they are just whole grains no sugar added... I was stunned honey did not trigger me ...I had some a beekeeper gave me and had to taste it ....did fine ..but I am not pushing that ... sugar is still sugar |

| I am not on maintance but I just went and got the grapenuts out of my cabinet. DH eats this brand of cereal. Ingredients are listed Whole Grain Wheat flour, Wheat Flour, Malted Barley flour, salt, dried yeast. THAT"S IT! I have read all over the box and no form of sweetner is listed. |
