I had to think about this a little before I answered and I think the best advice I can give..is to find "content" it is not easy ..seriously especially if you have spent your life waiting for "full" instead of finding "content" ...if my stomach growls now I drink a HUGE glass of water and wait..if I still feel hungry I eat a plate of food..I don't snack at all ...snacking makes me hungry...so I will stop what I am doing (if I can of course) sit down and eat a complete meal and keep listening as I am eating to see when the hunger is gone and my "content" kicks in...some foods do trigger me to crave crapp that I still have to deal with daily ...
I personally have not been able to become complacent with my diet ..but I do not "count" my food I just try to find "content" and avoid feeling "full" does that make sense?
I don't ever think I will be able to go back to "normal" because I got fat being "normal" !!!!
I like where I am and want to stay here bad enough to only put healthy fresh foods in my body ...enjoy the occasional (very rare) treat of something high carb ....and for sure try daily
not to over eat anymore ...it is NOT easy but it is my chosen lifestyle
