Question Too much???

I was wondering, is it possible to be having too much flax? I have around 3-5 tablespoons of it daily in various recipes (bread, pancakes, muffins etc). I love the taste and it really works well with aiding digestion but I wonder, am I going too much now? Sometimes i'll go like, half hour after I ate the flax item and that makes me think maybe i'm not even getting any nutrition from the flaxmeal. Or is it just from whatever I ate previously and not the actual thing I just ate?
I know this is a kind of weird question but i'm worried that I think i'm consuming around 50 carbs a day but if it's just coming right back out, i'm only really getting a lot less.
If anyone has any knowledge about this, that'd be greatly appriciated!

I eat a quarter cup of flaxmeal everyday... and it is very good for you. Don't worry, you are getting PLENTY of nutrition from it. You are not pooping the food you just ate.

And remember that the reason we are allowed to deduct fibre carbs is because they go through us!!

Are you eating 50 total carbs a day or 50 net carbs a day? Just curious.

Thanks for the responses!
I'm eating about 50 NET carbs a day, I don't really count up how many normal carbs. Lot's of whole wheats, flax, fiber filled vegetables and fruits... etc.
I was just worried that since I go so soon after eating the flax, I wasn't getting the carbs from it but it must just be the food I ate before the flax.
Amazing how well it works! I used to have to take laxitives until I started the flax. I feel so much better!

Oh that's good. I am so glad it works so well for you. I will be glad when I am up to 50 net carbs! Good job!

I'm a flax fan too. Love the crackers. Doesn't seem to do much for keeping me "regular" though (even though I drink masses and masses of water).
I wouldn't worry too much about amount... flax is good for you and packed with omega 3s.
