Default Introductions

Thanks for joining ladies, we got enough to become a real forum. How about we take a moment to introduce ourselves. I'll start (I did on the social forum, but now that its here new members can read it too).

I'm Barb, I'm a mom to 5. That's 4 boys 22, 21, 15, 13 and the princess is 6. This is my third round with the Atkins woe, and I know in my head and my heart that it is the only thing that works for me, so I am determined to make it a permanent lifestyle this time around, for myself and my family. I'm on day 2 of induction and feeling fine so far.

I like chatting with other moms that appreciate the Atkins woe and hope to make some new friends along the way.

This is my princess, she is my cheering squad when I'm eating right, and the first one to make me feel better when I'm not doing so well. She loves me however I look, but I know I have to be healthier if I plan to be there on her wedding day and when she brings her first baby into the world and all those other milestones of life. She is my inspiration.

I hope I am doing this right! My name is Brandy, mom of 3. 2 boys who are 5 and 9 and a daughter who is 6. They truly are my inspiration. I don't want to miss out on their lives, and I don't want to be the one to sit on the sidelines and watch them play with their dad when I should be in there, too! So, hello to everyone!

Hi. I'd like to become an Atkins mom member. I'm 33 and this is my second time committing to the Atkins WOE. I have a one year old son and need to lose this weight before I have another baby. Can't wait to connect with everyone and talk about the unique struggles of prepaing meals for a toddler and yourself.

Hey all...

My name is Fleur and I am 30... I have one child, an (almost) nine month old baby boy called Sam. I lost a baby to ectopic pregnancy before Sam came along and started putting on weight after the emergency surgery for the ectopic... thenb I fell pregnant again wuite quickly and the pounds just piled on. I weighed 175lbs after my son arrived (I am 5ft 2ins tall) and have since lost 19lbs so am now 156lbs... (well last wiegh in was 10 days ago so maybe (hopefully) less!!

I've lost 8ins off my waist 7in off my hips and an inch each off my arms and legs...I love Atkins

Hope to amke som new friends here and am really pleased to have some other mums to share the journey with!

Hi cupoflove, do you do all the cooking for your son? If so I bet you can come up with some great Atkins meals for him, serve him some of the great recipes people have posted on this site - he might not even notice he has been low carbed!! Best tips I've spotted so far: use crushed pork rinds as a crunchy coating for stuff (eg, chicken) sugarfree (but not aspatame) jello and heavy cream for sweet craving moments....

Good luck! I'll bet he will thank you if you help him shape up... and you will both look brill at the wedding!
