| WOW!! Plain and simple that was a fanstastic, heart-warming post that I can completely relate to! I too, had always been overweight growing up, althought it wasn't so "noticeably" bad until probably end of 10th grade and from there the weight kept coming and the fact that I had the biggest pair of denial glasses on didn't help either. I had tried all different diets with the common trend being very restricted eating of bleh-no taste food...and the conclusion I've come to (even after only being on atkins for 6 days now) is that the success isn't necesarily measured by pounds or inches, but more appropriately by taking the hardest step and deciding to not only put yourself first, but to adopt a whole new lifestyle of eating that is contradictory to many of the past diets and things we have read about healthy weight loss programs in the past. So, in my book you are already more than a success and the fact that you lost some weight on top of that is just like putting icing on a metaphorical-induction friendly cake :icondance I wish you the best of luck with everything and seriously if you want a buddy I would love to join up since I'll be 20 in a month and a 1/2 and am also new to the whole atkins eating style. Personally, I'm not weighing myself for a month because I don't want to be ruled by the scale, but more by how I feel...and since I can feel the inches dropping that doesn't hurt either! Have a great atkins friendly day

| Wow, that is a lot for one so young. Just think of all the *character* you'll have Three pounds is fantastic. It has to start somewhere. And you are young, so you're not fighting all that aging stuff us old people have to deal with. You'll do great. :hug Laura

| That story was just heartwarming. I can tell that you have such amazing drive and passion, just because you would need it to deal with what seems like a pretty chaotic life. I think you are going to do amazingly well and I can't wait to see your progress. This'll be fun. <3's, Victoria EDIT *This Teens thread has been closed due to extended absence of owner.
