Question how much is too much?

hello, im new to the bulletin but i have been lurking a bit which has helped me get most answers to any questions or concerns.. i just have one issue, everyone around me seems to think im ridiculous for going on atkins, and think i am taking my weight issue to far and they keep strategically trying to jinx this for me, so far for the last week i've done it cheat-free and i am so so proud with the results.. i'm 5'3 and now weigh about 112pounds from 121, i still feel bigger than i should be.. is atkins right for me or if i continue is it likely i may end up underweight?

regards xox

since this concerns you and you are still growing and develping talk with your doc about it. Your rate of loss on Atkins will slow down after 14 day induction so you aren't going to be losing as fast, but we only get one chance to grow our bodies correctly so you don't want to stunt yours by missing out on some important vits and minerals during this critical time.

What you doing for the mandatory exercise part of yourt Atkins?

i run most mornings for 30-45 min and also do circuit training atleast 2-3 times a week.

i've been going on 20 gr carbs a day and the weight has been dropping off, i'm not far from my ideal weight, once i reach it should i continue on 30gr carbs to maintain it?

another question- if one was to stop with atkins and start eating most things again (excl. simple carbs) would the weight lost come back or would the body just stop losing weight?

Regards
Chelsea

i suggest you get the Atkins book DR aTKINS nEW diET rEVOLUTION 2002 EDITION SO YOU KNOW HOW TO DO ATKINS CAUSE WE CAN HAVE JUT=ST ABOUT EVERY FOOD AS LONG AS IT ISN'T MADE FROM PROCESSED GRAINS LIKE WHITE FLOUR AND SUGARS I'm a goalie and I can eat any fruit, veggie, dairy, legumes, nuts, and grains that I want that are not processed. I can have low carb just about anything.

As we progress through the phases of Atkins induction 20 gram net carb limits give way to OWL reintroduction of low glycemic carbs ranking from more of the induction veggies up the rungs to whole grains. You search for your individual carbohydrate limit which for some is 30 and for others is over 100. once you find that number you just make sure you keep your carbs at or below that amount while feeding only your hunger with the healthy fats and proteins and you will stay an Atkins loser for life.
