| You didn't destroy anything -- whatever damage was done can be repaired. Do you have brothers or sisters? Maybe they can do you a favor... I'm sure my brother would love to have two baskets of sweets instead of one. Besides getting rid of the candies, you'll have to talk to your mom. Don't tell her you're dieting, because most parents don't want their children to be "dieting" due to the negative connotations associated with the word. Instead, explain her you want to live a healthy lifestyle, and sugar is just not part of it. I'm sure she wants you to be as healthy, fit and self-confident as possible, so she should understand. By the way, don't wait until tomorrow to get back on track. Get back on Atkins now. Are you still on Induction or did you move to OWL?

| Okay, I see you started Atkins on April 5th. So just get back on track and finish your 14-day Induction. Then move to OWL, so that you'll have more food choices... which means more vitamins, minerals, fiber... all very important at your age.

| But why is your mom buying chocolate and all that stuff when she is doing Atkins herself - I don't get it. When I got started I refused to buy apple juice and boxed juiced because I had the candy aisle in my back... and I had very bad sugar cravings very frequently. I think inviting friends over and getting rid of the chocolate is a great idea. BTW... Whenever I feel like I screwed up I just go for a bike ride or something like that and as I get sweaty I know that all the little drops of sweat running down my face and arms are my fat because I am in ketosis. Other than that exercising will help your body losing weight faster and building muscles - which are later going to burn a whole lot of calories by not doing anything!!! Have a great day and keep it up - we all make mistakes at some point; but the real challenge is picking yourself up and to go back on track without whining! !!! YOU CAN DO IT !!! P.S.: Your mom's behaviour was not very supportive but maybe she did not do it to get you off track but because she wanted to be nice [sounds weird but mom's are sometimes weird ;o) ] - did you talk to her about your feelings?
