Default 2nd day!

Hey everyone. Today is my second day on this diet! Yesterday I used 15carbs, today it's at 5carbs, although I haven't eaten dinner yet. i'll probably have two hot dogs, 2 calories in each. I haven't lost any weight yet according to the scales, but I suppose I should give it time...
I feal fine and amazingly, I'm not hungry.

Stay off the scale for the 2 weeks you will be so much happier! Weight goes up and down before it goes down for good. ha

This isn't a personal challenge to cut out all carbs

If you cut calories and/or carbs too much, it won't work. Some people advocate waiting two weeks to weigh, but I'm a strong believer in fixing problems at the outset. I'm concerned that you're not following the plan 100%, and that could slow your loss. There's no need to lose 2 weeks if we could make some tweaks here at the beginning - would you be willing to post your menu and exercise plan?

Default hey everyone!

I checked my weight and am happy to see I am 161 now, although I havent had dinner yet.
Well, Wednesday I had a breakfast of scrambled eggs which came out to a little less than 5 carbs, a 9 carb lunch of a big salad with mini tomatoes, coleslaw, a strawberry, and celery. A 1c cheese string snack. For dinner I had 2 chicken legs.
Thursday I had 2 eggs and a big piece of bacon. lunch, 2 leftover chicken legs, lol. A 1c cheese string snack. Dinner, a 1c fish piece, cheesy broccoli (4carbs) and a chicken wing.
Today I didn't have breakfast because I didn't get up early enough but for lunch I had a Kipper Snack (like a cooked fish in a can, really good!) and pork rins and a Cheese string, all about 2carbs. And I haven't had dinner yet but I think Dad is cooking cheese burgers so I will probably have one of them without the bun.
As for a workout plan, I don't really have a major one. I run on a treadmil about 40 mins a day at school in P.E. and ride my bike when I get home from school....

I started at 163 so that means I have lost 2lbs in 3 days!

It's always motivating to see a loss

The main problem I see is not enough veggies. Take a look at the list of allowed foods and see what you can add in. It's better if you can have veggies at every meal, but definitely get in your 3 cups a day. And celery and iceberg lettuce only won't cut it

Technically, the strawberry should be saved to rung 3 of OWL.

You don't mention water - 64oz minimum per day (and some suggest another 8oz per 25 over goal).

Getting plenty of exercise and I'm really glad to see you taking gym. Seems to be the first thing cut out these days :no It's all cardio though, and you'll want some weight lifting to help build bones. You stop building new bones at about 25, so get them as dense as you can now, otherwise you might fall and can't get up (anyone else remember that commercial?)

It really looks like you're on the right track though, so keep with it. :hug

Default okay

thanks for the suggestions. I didn't realize about the strawberry until the 2nd day. I do drink a lot of water and I will try more veggies in my meals.

No worries. There are worse things

It sounds like you're on the right track overall, and you do have to make this work for you long term, so don't let the little setbacks become big setbacks. None of us would make goal if you weren't allowed to make mistakes (oh trust me on this one..lol)
