Eclectikat's Journey thus far

So here I go, being all brave and showing all my journey... I so appreciate everyone else who has documented and shared their journey this way and I figure it is my turn. I realize these are not before and afters... but I am feeling good about my progress and hope to show all those lurking around and those needing a kick in the pants... that this WORKS!!
I have been obese my entire life. NOT ANYMORE.... I turned a corner in life and I have done that because of the sucess stories that inspired me to do so...
The reasons I know it works... I FEEL BETTER.
I think I look better, I can move easier, I can breath easier, I can sing again, My skin is getting better,
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY I AM GETTING SMALLER.
Starting at 299 means I have a long journey ahead but I am good with the slow and steady PERMANANT weightloss as opposed to fast and suddent temporary weightloss. I HOPE YOU ARE TOO!!
Sorry the photos are so big and that you can see all my imperfections... YUCK... but I am what I am... IT is what it is!

This is the earliest picture of me... Feb 2006

This one is in May 2006 Likely at my biggest 299lb I think.

This one is July 2007

This one is Christmas 2007 where my face was the biggest ever.

This one I had already started exersizing but was just before I began Atkins March 29 2008 I think I was at 289lbs here.

These are two of me at the beach on April 17 2008, I feel fantastic, I can feel some changes but can't see them yet.


I realized I had no body shot and obviously the way I took the pic I am not at all comfortable taking this pic... but it had to be done...

I am feeling good in this next shot... loving that I am beginning to see subtle differences.

One month later and I have probably reached 35lbs down at this point. I have not kept really good track... but something like that...

I took this last night after a 10km hike and came home thinking I could have done the loop again. I am down now 46lbs in total.

I wish I could do a side by side pic to show the two in the dress so you all can let me know if you see a difference. this will have to do.
First one May 2 2008... the dress was so tight I could hardly sit down in it.

This one July 10 2008, it is still a bit tight in the bust but I can't keep the straps up and its loose everywhere else.

Wow. I'm so glad you gathered the courage to do that. I almost got a tear in my eye in the last photo of your face when I saw your cheekbones. I know how you feel.

thanx kat for sharing - i was hovering at 297-299 myself - denying the fact that i was that high... then one day i stepped on the evil scale and it said 300.0 was like a slap in the face.. that was 4 weeks and 10 lbs ago and i can never go back... keep up the good work, and thank you for being an inspiration to us newbies !

First and foremost, you're a beautiful gal. If it's one thing about Atkins is that it certainly enhances your beauty. I love how your comlection is glowing. Also, you are melting all over. It really is exciting isn't it. I'm really proud of you. Keep up the fantastic work you're doing for yourself. You are getting healthy, healthy, healthy. The weightloss is just one of the benifits of Atkins.
