I haven't been on this site in a long time but I am still working the Atkins life style. I am only 2 pounds away from my current weight goal of 170lbs and I have been drilling new holes in my belts to keep my pants up. Atkins is the best!

I am nearing the end of induction, finally. Two more days!

As anyone who has read my previous blogs knows, I haven't been perfectly clean during induction and i am feeling guilty about it. Those glasses of wine at the wine tasting and beers at the Cubbie game certainly slowed my progress. But despite my foibles, I am lucky to be burning fat, losing weight, losing inches and feeling good about my results so maybe I shouldn't be too hard on myself. Whew, one more week of induction. Last week went very much according to plan. I had a bump in the road on Tuesday (@ dinner) and too much beer (at the Cubbie game) and wine (at a wine tasting) over the weekend but I am still on track.

Yes, I have to admit that I was a little depressed this week when the darned scale just wouldn't cooperate. I know, measure inches and forget the scale... but I just can't do it. I need to know! Well finally this morning I got the news I was hoping for. I lost another pound and a half for a total of 6.5 pounds in my first 6 days on induction. I haven't hit these numbers in quite some time.

Day 4 and feeling pretty good. Worked out; lifted weights (Thursday is a leg weight lifting day) and did 31 minutes on the Elliptical machine. I did 31 minutes so that I would exceed 300 calories burned, a mini day goal of mine.
