Well, I stepped on two scales this morning ...both gave me different numbers, but both said I didnt lose anything. Weird huh?
I have a scale at home...which says my weight is 235 but that has not changed. The scale at work said 239 - both are the same from last week. I am not complaining... I have not been a saint this week. And the fact that my pants are loose and the purchase of a belt is something to consider... i am happy and content.

I have signed my husband and I up for a class at the YMCA. It is called commit to be fit. I am hoping this will give me some sort of motivation.

I also went to the store and purchased a tea called Smooth Moves. It has that seana leaf in it and it is suppose to make me a little more regular. One cup of tea - it doesn't taste to bad. Like peppermint, now we will see if it works or not.

My daughter Maisen started swimming last night for a local club here in town. Oh man if I could only swim like that. They get in the pool four times a week and swim 500 yards. Man o Man I love to watch her go.

My weight has gone NOWHERE in 3 weeks, but like you my clothes are looser. I've lost 2in from my waist. I keep reminding myself that 1 inch of muscle weighs more than 1 inch of fat.
Oh, and I have a 3 month old son named Mason and a 5 year old daughter named Madison. I love your spelling of Maisen for your daughter's name!

Shauna, peppermint is great to keep things regular, as is licorice root. Ginger is helpful as it helps get rid of the toxins in the system and if you can drink Earl Grey its even better as the bergamot in it can help loosen things up. Sorry, I'm putting the inner herbalist away now.

Just promise me you won't drink that tea for more than 2 weeks and you won't use ANY other laxatives with it. Senna is a very powerful herb and too much of it can affect the amount of potassium in your system and can cause intestinal cramping. (2 cups a day for two weeks should be ok, anything above that I wouldn't recommend) Ok...now I'm REALLY putting the herbalist away...promise!

Congrats on the new belt...you should do it! Go for it!

I don't know about you but I totally plan on swimming again once I don't feel like a whale in a bathing suit. I think once I reach about 200 I might be willing to give it a try. I used to be quite the swimmer but gave up once I hit puberty (only girl on the team with boobs). It so great for stamina and as a difficult exercise regime that isn't horrible for your joints.

Shauna, I agree with Bella about not drinking the tea more than a few weeks. When I was younger I used that smooth move tea all the time and it messed my system up like you wouldn't believe. Please be careful.

We all love to see the scale move, but the important part is your close are fitting looser!!! I'm happy for you.

When I first found out I was having a baby I wanted to name him Mason. Don't ask me why I had it in my head it was a boy right off. But about 8 months into it my mother informed me that I was having a girl. Darn this voodoo women. She told me to think of another name of course. So, my friends at work & I went to WORK... we tried to come up with different spellings of the name but for a girl. She couldnt be a son and she couldn't be a sin. So we ended up with Maisen - thanks. I like the spelling and name too. She on the other hand gets a little erked because it is still a BOYS name. (smile) she will get over it; I did it to make her strong.

    Hi Shauna,
I tried some of that dieter's tea... I think it's the same herb. I've decided to forego the tea after reading articles like this one:
dieter's brews make tea time a dangerous affair

Dr. Atkins and others suggest psyllium husks for fiber boosting, the same used in Metamucil. Blessings to you that you find what works for you and especially with that gym membership. Nothing boosts that metabolism like building muscle and increasing cardio health!!!
