Oregano Extract?

Is oregano extract the same as oil of oregano?

I am totally confused.

It all comes from the same plant, right?

Yes, it certainly comes from the same plant... and I don't think it's quite the same thing (correct me if I'm wrong, someone). Not sure what the exact differences are though.
